About VAW

Volunteers Around the World is a global humanitarian organization focused on improving life in underserved communities. Our UTSA chapter offers Dental Outreach trips, where students work with dental professionals in full-service clinics. We also provide unique volunteer opportunities in San Antonio, partnering with diverse organizations to make a meaningful local impact.

General Meetings

Join us for our bi-weekly VAW meetings on Thursdays at 6:30 PM! Our meetings are a great way to stay engaged with our mission, connect with fellow members, and prepare for upcoming volunteer opportunities. We discuss global health initiatives, fundraising events, and provide training for our dental outreach trips. Whether you’re a returning member or new to VAW, our meetings are the perfect place to get involved and make a difference!

Join Us on a VAW Trip

Each summer, Volunteers Around the World (VAW) embarks on a two-week service trip to provide free dental care to communities in need. During this experience, volunteers work alongside local dentists, assisting with procedures, educating patients on oral hygiene, and making a meaningful impact.

This trip is open to both members and non-members, and no prior experience is required—just a passion for service and a willingness to learn!
